Weldamax operates through three well-known trading divisions: Maxweld & Braze, Unique Welding Alloys and Selrod Welding. All three divisions have been in existence for over 40 years and are well known in the industry for their service and reliability.
 

Maxweld & Braze

Maxweld & Braze was founded in the 1970s by Max Kangisser as a wholesaler of safety gear used in the welding industry. 

Through Unique Welding, Thermadyne Inc. (now Victor Technologies) saw the need for a comprehensive one-stop welding wholesaler, and bought Maxweld & Braze in 2000. 

Maxweld & Braze is a wholesaler servicing distributors throughout South Africa.The company offers a full range of welding equipment and consumables, backed by warranties, a local service centre and a customer training facility.

Unique Welding Alloys

Founded in the 1970s, Unique Welding Alloys started as a gas and welding equipment retailer. In 2000, Thermadyne Inc. purchased Unique Welding.

Today, Unique Weldingis the market leader in its field and has seven branches situated in Gauteng, the North West and Mpumalanga,servicing the end-user welding market, andproviding packaged welding gasses.
 

Selrod Welding

Jon Durand established Selrod Welding in the 1970s. He started by selling welding rods from the back of his vehicle. After years of continuous growth and successThermadyne Inc. bought Selrod Welding in 2004.

Selrod Welding provides customers with a full range of gas and welding products. It has become the preferred supplier of hard facing materials, ancillary equipment and service to most of the sugar, steel and other industries in KwaZulu-Natal.
